Well a funny old day, visitors for lunch which was pleasant but then the child started to get sulky and kicked her Mother. I told her off, I said she should never to that and especially in my house.

They left once we had washed up and cleared away. Just as well as my hand was itching to smack her legs, 7 years old and no manners, her Mother has no idea of boundaries and cannot understand why most folk to not like to be around the child.

She is fine if the Mother is not here and plays and talks well. I feel sorry for her really as she will be a beastie and it will not be her fault.

Yet another depressed, tortured friend wanting to chat - I swear I have a sign somewhere about my person! Come and tell me all your problems and worries and I will help you and cheer you up. I am finding it very draining at the moment, I am staying off line in order to hide from some of them.

If I had a current passport I would bugger off to Spain for a week.

Well a busy day, I must have spent about 2 hours of it on the phone, that is not counting text messages and answering e-mails!

I have friends for lunch tomorrow so that will be lovely, I shall be up early and get everything ready so that I do not have to spend too much time in the kitchen.

It is very hot and sticky again tonight, thank God I had bought a cooked chicken so did not have to put the cooker on! Thank heavens for lettuce and tomatoes and for Tesco deciding to sell cooked, ready to eat chickens.

Bloody football on again tonight, thank heavens for books and music and DVD's, it must be awful being married to a football fan, I would send them to the Pub!

I suppose the country will grind to a halt tomorrow at 3.30, a good time to go shopping I would think.

Right - to sleep, perchance to dream.

Very tired but a fab day, went to the Village Hotel Gym, great place!

I got in on a free pass, we went swimming and then went in the jacuzzi for ages, it is really large and airy and modern and spotlessly clean. Free copy of the Independent and lovely changing rooms.

We went for a late lunch on our way out and argued about who was paying! I won as I threatened to stab Jane with a fork and never go anywhere with her again! It worried me as I sounded just like my Mother - eek.

I had a gorgeous toasted Panini, chicken and roasted vegetables with salad and a diet coke, Jane had a jacket potato with cheese, coleslaw and salad and a wee pot of tea.

Was great to go swimming after such a long time I must start going every week but that 25 metre airconditioned pool has spoilt me!

Just had 2 of my younger pals be very cheeky, I know they are joking but I am feeling a bit sensitive at the moment. I shall just ignore them I think. Another friend had already replied to my text asking how Mozart had been (she was at a concert last night) with the response he is dead!

Bloody smart arses. I think I may be hormonal!

Lady Roxy has not spoken to me since I returned, I did leave her Tuna, Hill's Science diet and loads of water when I left lol

Well in the interests of keeping my brain alive I have finally decided to learn Italian, I was considering Spanish as I do have a smattering from holidays in the Canaries but I like the sound of Italian better.

I have been checking out sites on the net and there is a speed one but that is American (boo!) and it is also quite expensive.

I have been checking the BBC site and am surprised to discover I already know quite a few words and phrases. I put this down to my bouts of insomnia and watching BBC2 in the middle of the night!

I think my accent is coming along as I have quite a good ear and am quite a good mimic.

All the tests I have done so far I have scored very high, I have only got 1 wrong in about 4 tests and I am earning Benisimo! which I am guessing means good?

Roxy keeps looking at me as I practice, she is used to me talking to myself or her, perhaps she realises I am not making any sense lol

I suppose I could ask for an Italian dictionary for my birthday, my Mother, will, no doubt, say I am mad but who cares!

I have tried to find a local class but it is the wrong time of the year, I suppose I could find an Italian Restaurant and become a regular diner, I do know lots of the names for food already pollo, funghi, zuchinni etc

Wednesday, feeling a wee bit sad today as I had to recount the death of a close friend, I am trying to remember what year it was. I find as I get older I find it hard to remember the years stuff happened, I can remember the incidents clearly but not the years!

Hey ho I know it was roughly 75 76 ish lol

Roxy is very clingy today, this usually precedes fluff balls so must dose her up with the yummy Kittymalt which she loves, she would eat a whole tube if I let her.

The healthy eating continues and is going well, it was rather spoilt by two bottles of larger whilst watching the football but it was Coors Fine Light Beer so I do not think too much harm was done.

Today I must concentrate on drinking plenty of water, i do think about it every day but I am not on target yet... 8 glasses is a lot of water hee hee

I have ordered 2 new Jamie Anderson CD's from the US, she really is a great singer and guitarist. Her lyrics are fabulous and often very witty, I wish she could tour over here I would be there on the front row..

Well the man has been here inserting our Cavity Wall insulation! What a bloody racket, I was ready to scream please stop as he seems to have been drilling for hours, I did offer him a drink in the hope of getting a short respite he declined my offer!

Bit cooler today thank heavens.

Blasted football on again tonight so I think I shall be reading, I must do some ironing whilst it is cool enough any excuse not to do it.

Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon

Well that was a bit of a waste of 2 hours! I wish I could have stayed at home in the cool and read my book! Never mind I won £10 off Mum in a bet :)

It is so hot today and the air quality is awful which does nothing for my Asthma! Hey ho never mind there are plenty poor sods worse off than me.

I really am going to learn Italian I have been hovering between Spanish and Italian as I already know quite a bit of Spanish but I really do love Italian it sounds so lovely.

I wonder if I can do it through the TV and the internet? I know they have Italian lessons on BBC2 in the middle of the night! Good old Open University, insomniacs lifeline, useful to learn something whilst you cannot sleep lol

Hmm just sitting thinking and I realised a friend who has recently acquired a new partner has hardly spoken to me lately.

This really does piss me off, I was keeping her spirits up and talking her out of suicide 5 weeks ago, telling her life would get better and it did!

Fekkin women I will never understand them! Surely they must realise friends are important and you should leave a small space for them?

I just despair sometimes, I think I am too sensitive for my own good. Bloody Moon Children

I am going to ignore every bugger for a week and let them all sort their own problems out I shall not be boosting anyone except myself for 7 whole days.

I often think my Cat has more sense than most people and I am beginning to believe it might be true........

Well I just struggled out of my double bed, she had sloped off earlier.

I do not know why she has to get up so earlier, I have been in and checked her, she is typing on that bloody lap dog again!

I had a few mouthfuls of breakfast a wee drink and am now completing my ablutions before going back to sleep.

Ok I know it is Sunday morning but I have been up since 5! Bloody mobile went off and woke me! Thank you dear fiend, bloody photo messages!

Roxy is, of course, still fast asleep wee tart! I swear she sleeps 23-3/4 hours per day.

Now then breakfast... I am trying to eat healthily so will it be home made kick ass muesli or a bacon sarnie? I am out to lunch at 1pm so I think the giant bowl of muesli might be too much so it will be a healthy bacon sarnie!

I cannot believe I was sitting weeping at Dr Who last night, I think it must be hormones, it could not possibly be that I am a soft hearted fool.

30 days until my birthday, I have dropped massive hintsabout what I want (I told them) I just hope I do not get any surprises. That sounds churlish but my family do mad things like buy you a new fridge freezer that is far too big (last year's present!)
